WELCOME TO TALES OF BLAWENBURG
Meet Your Author
David Cochran
Welcome to my Blog -- here is a little bit about me...
I've been a writer and educator all my life. I was the sports editor of the Ocean City High School Billows and the Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) Signal before my career in education. As an educator, I was a teacher (grades 4-8), a middle school supervisor, high school vice principal, K-12 Director of Math, Science, and Technology, and Community School Director. I worked in Hopewell, Lawrence Township, and most of the time Montgomery Township School District. I was also a college professor for eight years at Georgian Court University.
I've owned three companies involved in writing - Fruition Publications, HyperMedia Associates, and Daval Publications. Each dealt with different content and occurred at different times in my life. I've published three books with Fruition, written 30 newsletters with Hypermedia Associates, and published 60 publications with Daval. I've had several books on educational technology published by major publishers. In addition, I've had lots of articles published in educational journals. As you can see, I like to write.
Tales of Blawenburg has been swirling around in my head for years. I learned a lot about Blawenburg just by living in an old house on the eastern side of the village for over 45 years. I learned more by writing the latest two versions of the history of Blawenburg Reformed Church. I also gained stories and understanding of the village by reading whatever I could find and by talking with many of the "oldtimers", many of whom are no longer with us.
I’m happy to share what I know about this tiny village that has meant so much to me.
